"BEYETTE" is the name of a musical project as well as a surname.[]
Projects marked as "Beyette " however are of a different type, a type that focuses on the message of each song, whether it be cryptic, blunt, critical, subliminal, sensual, perfectly clear or abstract. An experience that is suited for a different stimulation from human music theory combined with the (sometimes accidental) power of words.
The musical genre of this project varies more by album than by track, but is typically more suited for a 6-piece band as opposed to the grander scale of the instrumental songs. The songs are designed to be played at gigs, festivals and arena shows much like a mainstream band, but the audience is projected to be different than that of the instrumentals.
Dustin has chosen for their own music to put their own name on the line instead of using a psuedonym, trendy or clever sounding last name or band name. This does not mean that all songs are personal, not personal, non-fiction, or of creative imagination. It only means that he has chosen to use their own name to back their audio creations, and that musical works as "Beyette" are of a different project. The inspiration to just use the name "Beyette" was from Dustin's cousin Travis because he said it was "uncommon". Travis's outlook is proven any time Dustin is selling physical cds because people ask "what is a beyette?".
