The Dean Playmate 4 string bass didn't come into play with Beyette's sound until 2006, after discussing at a Southern Maine IHOP how little left he had on his Jimi's Trading layaway, his roommate at the time offered to let him borrow the cash to get it sooner (thanks Mike). That night he came home and played away. It was a long time before this that he had held a bass he knew he could play as long as he wanted, and the energy and inspiration was hard to handle. The first song to actually be recorded with the bass was "Change", a very dramatic instrumental song that eventually was re-made for the title track of an album of the same name.
